Toyohisa Yamada, President and CEO of Yamada Shokai Holding, Inc. spoke at the first event of the "Helix Program" partnering project on Monday, July 28, 2025, at STATION Ai in Aichi, Japan. This project aims to create a fusion energy industry by Helical Fusion, Inc. as an all-Japan, cross-disciplinary team. Since its foundation, Yamada Shokai Holding has continued to support people's living infrastructure based on gas, water, and electric works, and is committed to sustainable energy production and use as a key issue that will have a significant impact on future living infrastructure and the global environment.
In July 2025, we invested in Helical Fusion as a partner aiming for the social implementation of fusion reactors, sympathizing with its vision, innovation of technology, and entrepreneurship to commercialize the research accumulated in Japan for many years on its own. At this event, together with six partner companies in the Aichi and Chubu area that announced their capital alliance in July, we invited local industrialists to participate in the project and embarked on a new step toward co-creation.
We will continue to support Helical Fusion's activities and work to improve the resilience of local communities.

About the Helix Program Partnering Project
Helical Fusion is a project that aims to create a "fusion energy industry" in Japan with an annual potential of 100 trillion yen. To achieve this goal, industrial partners involved in all aspects of energy support, production, and use, from manufacturing to retailing, will work together to build a fusion energy industry originating in Japan.
Specifically, we plan to complete the technological demonstration with "Helix HARUKA," which will be the last experimental unit, and then construct and operate "Helix KANATA," which will realize the world's first "practical power generation" in the 2030s. Thereafter, by promoting mass production of power plants and energy utilization around the world, we aim to bring to mankind the energy that will light up the future and the world "far and wide".
To achieve this goal, the Helix Program partnering project aims to expand collaboration with partners throughout Japan and in all fields who agree with the company's plan and make it a reality as soon as possible.
